Environmental Solution for Heavy Duty Radiator Cores
Lead-free solder coated brass tubes offer all the performance benefits of brass while using Sn97Cu3 to replace the lead-tin solder. This lead-free alternative offers a more optimised tube to fin joint and coupled with a long life in service, is the environmental solution for heavy duty applications.
Lead-free solder coated brass tubes combine dimensional accuracy and control, with an optimised joint from the higher wetting properties of the solder, for an exceptional tube to header fit and a more favourable geometry of the solder joint. The surface tension and density of lead free solder (Sn97Cu3) in liquid form is c. 12% higher than a traditional solder which offers a tighter joint shape in the radiator core. Coupled with high strength, thermal performance, durability and resistance to corrosion, including pitting corrosion from coolant, lead-free solder coated tubes deliver both a high production yield for our customer and a highly efficient heat exchanger for theirs.
